Quandela shows scalable photonic quantum-reservoir processing for machine learning

A collaboration between Quandela, the Center for Theoretical Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and the University of Warsaw has experimentally demonstrated a scalable physical quantum machine-learning architecture, running both quantum and classical ML tasks on a photonic quantum processing unit. The work pairs quantum reservoir processing with single-basis quantum tomography and was supported by the EU's Horizon programme. As a vendor-reported result it awaits independent corroboration and a peer-reviewed write-up, but the named academic co-authors and concrete experimental claims set it apart from a pure marketing announcement.

Yale's ERASE erasure-qubit project wins $4M NSF grant

Yale says its ERASE project — Erasure Qubits and Dynamic Circuits for Quantum Advantage, one of six NSF pilot projects awarded more than a year ago — has reached its next milestone with a $4 million NSF grant supporting a national community of researchers pursuing a large-scale, error-correcting quantum computer. The item is a single-source press release reporting funding rather than a result, so it is logged as a brief.
